How sleep therapy works

Sleep therapy is prescribed by a physician to treat obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). A gentle stream of pressurized air keeps your airway open while you sleep.

CPAPContinuous positive airway pressure at one fixed setting prescribed by your doctor. The most common form of therapy.
Auto CPAP (APAP)Automatically adjusts pressure breath by breath, within a high and low range set by your doctor, for a more comfortable night.
BiPAPDelivers one pressure when you breathe in and a lower one when you breathe out — for patients who need higher pressures.
