Cruising Carnival Cruise Line with oxygen

What Carnival Cruise Line says about bringing oxygen and portable oxygen concentrators on board — plus tips to make your trip easier.

Carnival Cruise Line oxygen rules at a glance

Based on Carnival Cruise Line’s published policy, reviewed October 2026.

NoticeSubmit Carnival’s oxygen request form as soon as possible, and no later than 30 days before sailing. The form covers concentrators and CPAP machines.
OnboardOnly one compressed cylinder and/or concentrator may be kept in your stateroom overnight; Guest Services stores the rest.
Carry-onHand-carry oxygen machines, including concentrators and CPAPs — don’t pack them in checked luggage.
SupplyShip’s medical oxygen is for emergencies only, so bring everything you need.

Carnival says to expect an email confirmation within three business days of submitting the form. Policies can change — always confirm with Carnival Cruise Line before you sail. See Carnival Cruise Line’s policy →

Tips for any cruise with oxygen

Pack batteries for excursionsBring enough battery for the longest shore excursion — plus a spare. Charge from your cabin outlet whenever you can.
Hand-carry your concentratorKeep it in your carry-on. Crew generally can’t handle medical devices during boarding.
Ask for a table near an outletIn dining rooms and theaters, a seat near an outlet lets you save battery.
