Exclusive Interview: Inogen G3

Exclusive Interview: Inogen G3 Portable Concentrator

This week we wanted to take some time to spotlight the Inogen One G3 from the unique perspective of somebody that has worked with the Inogen family of products day in and day out. Alec Wilkie is our retail location oxygen specialist and has over 3 years experience in the Oxygen Therapy industry.

To start off, can you describe the ideal Inogen G3 customer?

Alec: Well the G3 is really for a wide variety of customers but ideally it’s for someone looking for a lightweight solution who is trying to maintain an active lifestyle. Longer battery life, up to 9.5 hours with the extended battery, along with the setting range of 1-5 helps the G3 cover people with a wide variety of oxygen needs.

Working with the G3 and many different customers everyday I’m sure you hear a lot of feedback from customers. Can you tell us some of the most common feedback that you get from G3 customers?

Alec: I always hear how much people like how simple the G3 is to use. The easy to read user interface makes the user interaction super simple. The G3 even comes with a backpack for amazing portability, and it weighs less than 5 pounds.

The Inogen G3 is an industry leader and very popular machine but in your opinion what is the G3’s best feature that sets it apart from the rest?

Alec: Battery life hands down. With up to 9.5 hours of battery with the extended 16 cell battery the G3 really sets itself apart from similar portable concentrators.

What is something that everybody should know about the G3?

Alec: Much of the maintenance required can be easily performed by the patient. Simple routine maintenance can keep their G3 running at optimal performance. The sieve beds are easily replaced and the filters can all be cleaned at home. For tips, look up our blog article on how to clean and properly maintain your POC.

Alec thank you very much for taking some time out of your day to share with us. Do you have any final thoughts you would like to leave with any potential G3 customers out there?

Alec: The Inogen G3 is one of the most popular units on the market today for good reason. It is one of the best!
